Hello friends, I pray everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! Laura and I are in Indiana right now, spending time with my mom and dad. Today, my wife and mom (and a couple of Aunts) are going "Black Friday Shopping." I would rather go to the dentist than go shopping! As for myself, I will be working on school and church stuff. Next week I will be writing about my upcoming series for December...but, for today, let's look at

Col. 3:17
And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

This is a perfect verse for Thanksgiving. We have so very much to be thankful for, especially here in the U.S. God has blessed our country so much. Even our poor are considered rich compared to most of the world.
Of course, the best gift of all is our salvation. Much like we tend to discount our material blessings, we can do the same to our most precious gift. As we go into the Christmas season, it is important to remember how "broke" we would be without Jesus in our lives. Let's not forget to spread the wealth around; tell someone about Jesus.
